been a long time since i've been on, but everyone on here has been very VERY helpful to me in the past....and now for questions!!!

first off, as some of you may or may not remember, i had quite the into to sledding last year. blew my motor my first trip, blew bearing in chain case second trip......opon the advisement of many people, on the new motor i was running premix in with the gas. and stupid me forgot to drain it or even add any stabilizer in it....... :( should i do anything else besides draining it out and probably cleaning the carbs? i dont want to have any problems this year that can be avoided.

also, getting a wierd clicking noise out of clutch when it engages and disengages...any thoughts?

and one more thing....(obviously) had to remove rear skid to repair chain case....how should i go about adjusting the rear suspension now that i've put it back in?

thank in advance for the help, like i said there are many members that have helped me in the past, and without you i would have never thought i could undertake any of this work on my own!

If it were me, it would depend on how much fuel I left in the tank. I would siphon the tank, refill with fresh and just clean the carbs. If there was very little in there when you stored it(like an inch or so) I would consider flushing it some with some fresh gas. The filter is in the tank so no junk should get by it to the carbs. Change the filter after the first tank goes through it.

Broken spring maybe??? The tech pages have some info about removing the primary cover. It may be time to inspect the flyweights and rollers, do some reading in the tech section/manual to get an idea what to look for/inspect.

Do you mean the track tension or setting up the rear suspension for traction etc???

You've come a long way young Jedi, tinkering is half the fun! :letitsnow

Someone please chime in if they think something else needs doing.

Fresh lake effect in Michigan this weekend. For some reason I left my sleds at home and had to ride the old mans Polaris... Thats not me in the pink!

i put on 100 miles this weekend from the snow storm we got in illinois, i dont think its ganna stay for much longer tho >.< looks to me like its supposed to get up to 40 then rain

we got 4 inches the other day and more supposed to come, plust its been about -10c latley.

I would drain fuel, clean carbs, clean clutchs and inspect for damaged parts and cracks.

just about a full tank, so i'm gonna drain it. sucks that i can't put it in my truck cuz i premixed it when the new topend was put in! also gonna take a look at the tech pages about the clutch....any other advise besides that? the guy that did the motor for me....when i brought it to him, i told him the engine wasnt revvin as high as it should have...(only to about 7800) so he did some clutch "adjustments" and thats when i ran into this problem...
