1st Ice Rib Lake!!!

For some reason 6 inches of ice seems a little thin for me. It really has to do with the type of ice and how it froze up.

2-4" is safe. They usually go on this lake in november. It's one of the first lake to freeze. It's real shallow.

Here are a few pictures from Sat on Rib Lake. It was a wonderful day out on the lake. I don't have any speeds other then what I ran so I am hoping some one will post more info or send the speeds to me.

The Attack was showing 128 on the speedo but seeing 113.6 on the gun at about 1/2 mile. my best was 115 on the gun but I only had 40 miles on the sled by that time.

I was really shocked at the Phazers, my son was running 88-89 mph on the gun all day and his best was 93. Speeds on the speedo showed 97 to 102.

I even had the chance to run BanditsSRX's wifes GT against my FX Phazer... LOL, it was fun, he took me out of the hole, I caught him, started to pass and that bugger grabbed that big GT shield and pulled it down and he caught me a nudged me right at the gun... what a fun race.

i can't believe you guys can run on the ice already! wow! how much snow is there? looks like a good turn out. any other brands there?

LOL @ grabbin the windshield and gettin by.....sounds like alot of fun!!!!!!!!! :winterrul

It was cool to hear your son get that kind of speed out of a Phazer. Once can only assume that it might pick a few more MPH with miles on it. That's great!
G.B.

We did have 2 guns and the stalker was a lot more accurate, I check them on the GPS and the Stalker was with in 10th and the other was off 1.5 to 2 mph. The max speeds we had were on the gone that was off so realistically the 91 on the Phazer and 114 on the Attak is where I was at.

its kinda exciting hearing those speeds as the phazers are geared very deep, 18/40, imagine changing the gearing to something like 20/39 or 21/41, and then use a little lighter clutch weightwith a more aggressive profile to go along with the gearing I bet you could get over 100mph that way and not be in overdrive where the belt is being bent and inefficent. That little devil has potential!!

Got the chance to ride a phazer FX the other night here for a couple hours and it is a very cool machine, you cant seem to make it fly catywampus even hitting the jump at a slight angle, very agile and light feeling, it made me look like a good rider....LOL!!!

Rib lake was a blast and there were a lot of great running yammies there. I know someone was keeping track of everyones runs so who ever was keeping that info will probably post it up. I had a starting run of 115 MPH on the gun with my SRX and I rode around the lake awhile to get the pipes hot and did a couple more runs and got a best run of 123 MPH on the gun. I was pretty happy with that number and I forgot to switch back to an SRX front and rear suspension so my sled was pretty high in the air aswell. Lots of fun.
