you can only go 1 inch if you are going to stud, you can go 1.25 if you remove your heat exchanger protectors and tunnel protectors. I put a 1.25 predator 9818 on my 02 viper and it was the best upgrade I ever did!! I tried to run it with protectors in but they rubbed really bad that is why I took mine out. Some people say you can trim the track for clearance but I didn't want to cut a brand new track and never plan on running studs again
I agree with ouch...put a 1.25 rip saw on after the yoko blistered at 8600 miles. definately the single best upgrade you can get for the viper. puts the power to the trail..havin fun all over again.

you can put a 1.187 cone style like 9830 i think its a 9392 with out problems, I actually ran this track for 2yrs in my sx700 with 192 studs and never had any problems, although my suspention was maxed out and track was 1in deflection at 22lbs.

you can run the prestudded ripsaw ( ice ripper) in stock sled without driver change.but if you stud a ripsaw then you need to chnage them.let me know if you need one.
thanks guys but has anyone an opinion on the performace of a pre studed track?

Your talking about the little studs that go in the end of the lug there is no performance gains just better stoping and a little traction on bare ice.
If you mean performance vs traditional studded track, it's about 80% (or so they say).
