how do you tell which way these go on the motor?i've had it apart for a couple weeks and forgot if the pushed up side faces up or down towards the crank...does it matter?i really would appreiciate the help..thanks

Basegasket: PTO side has the larger hole.
Headgasket: Not sure cause I'm running a opti-cool gasket.
Just curious are you running a SRX base gasket or the Viper stocker?

i believe the stock base gasket, this may seem like a stupid question but the pto side is the opposite of the clutch correct?

PTO is the clutch side, then middle, then MAG.

P.T.O. stands for (power take off) or drive...now for all gaskets the dimple(s) are always facing the installer/mechanic...If you do not have a manual for the engine you are rebuilding. Go to this site, at the start of totallyamaha and at the bottom on the left side of the screen tab down to online parts catalogue..look up your sled and look at the part(s) your assembling and it will show you the direction and placement of each gasket...hope this helps...
