well I'm taking the advice found here and installing new rings on the SRX. Is there any special break-in when doing this. thanks

Ive been told it doesnt take very long to break in a new set of rings and to run the first tank of gas with yamalube. Yamalube is good for breaking in a fresh top end. than go back to synthetics

do not run synthetic for break in.
Yamylube is good for about 300 miles then you can use synthetic.

how about running alittle yamalube in the gas? I know it will run rich but it may save on having to drain the synthetic out...

no you neeed to run yamilube or a cheap dino oil for at least 10hrs or 300km. yamyrider had this problem last season when he re-ringed his sxr. it would fart and miss and rin like a pos. some one here told him to take the synthetic out and put dino oil in it. after it worked out the synthetic in the lines it started pulling like it did before the ring job. i chased him the day he did this and that is what it toook to get it cleared out.
