locked tps

i'm currently putting back the motor in my 02 viper and noticed the dcs flashes 3 times, assuming thisi s a tps, how do you repair a locked tps?

you have a 04 viper or a 02??? 02 doesnt have dcs(detonation control system), on a 02 its your warning lamp showing you it functions properly when you start it up.
Now if it continues to flash 3 times then pause after its running for a while then you need to look at the thumb warmer dial, open or short circuit in it.
 
not meaning to jump into a thread here, but my 02 the light comes on twice when I start it..... powervalves are clean with no cables pulled through or anything. any ideas mr viper?
 
its suposed to, its just tellin ya your light and system check are correct, I would have to look but I think the viper is 2 flashes and the srx is 3 on the coolant light, the viper uses the warning symbol, all is well if you get the cycle of the light then it stays off, its when its flasshing a certain sequence over and over again while running theres a problem!
 
02 viper flashes twice. At least mine does and it is running good. Over revving, but good. Maxdlx
 
well i may have had to many beers last ngiht when i finished putting the motor back together, the check engine light was flashing 3 times...figured it had something to do with the tps...looked and forgot to plug it in...woops...anyway the sled fouled a set of new plugs when i first started it...but put a new set in and it seems to be fine now...with new top end does the motor require less choke or something?/i think i may have flooded it...anyway thanks for your help guys
