Okay guys. I replaced all of the bearings in my skid, except for the two rear idler wheels. These wheels have the bearings molded right in them. The bearings seem okay, not as smooth as new ones, but not siezed yet. Yamaha wants about 100 canadian for two of these. I can get two after market for about 80 canadian. The after market ones you can change the bearings in them. My only concern is they don't have a steel washer molded in the front of them. So can I just go down to the hardware store and buy a few? Anyone else have any other concerns? Another option I can just keep using them until the rubber starts to melt, except the one side is a pain to replace when the skid is in the machine. Thinking about just getting one new one and keeping the other as a spare, and installing the new one on the opposite side of the cotter pin, that way if the old one fails, I don't have to remove the skid to replace yet.

What color are the idlers? I have two silver used ones that I bought and have decided not to use, I would sell them to you for $35US shipped. They are stock Yamaha with replaceable bearings, bearings seem fair.
The steel washer you are referencing is it the snap ring?
No matter what you do you should be able to replace without removing the skid, at least I was able to by loosening the tension adjusters to where there were only a few threads of the bolt in the nut, just enough to keep the nut on.
