I bought a used track from a viper that has red backers, they're a bit faded, and i don't really want to end up with pink backers 
. The picks are a bit rusty but in pretty decent shape. I'd really like to change them to blue backers, but i don't know if it'd be more work than it's worth. I need to buy 20 or so to replace some push throughs and a couple that are a bit worn, so i'm going to need backers for those anyways.

Heat up the nyloc nuts and use an air ratchet. I have studding down to A SCIENCE...lol
Another reason I use Fast Track's studs. They DON'T use that damn tork bit. They use Allen head. Much better grip. That torx strips easy!

These actually have allen heads... and they're definitely woody's. I dunno.
So i think i'll go for it, it can't be all that hard. Is the heat necessary? Or can i just wail on it with the impact gun? I'll be doing it in our studio condo, so a torch won't fly well with my girlfriend, she's already not too pumped about having the track in the middle of the room... i keep telling her to watch out for the spikes of death

Make shure you use all new nylon nuts when you put them back on other wise you will have studs flying out.

Also use the stainless nuts. They will not rust up and be impossile to get off next time you restud. The heat sure will help and a torch on low will not be a big deal...or if you don't have one, just buy the electric clicker starter to go on top of the bottle. This way you can heat one up at a time and be able to fire up the heat with ease. This way it's only on for a few seconds at a time. If there all rusted your going to want the heat. Once you strip one out bad enough then you have to go to the grinder to cut them off...and thats a pain in the A$$!!!
Tell the girlfriend to hit the mall for a few hours...LOL
