I'm putting a studded, open window 1 1/4" Ripsaw in my 01' SRX and was wondering what guys who have done this were running for gears, and chain in the chaincase. I'm running Wahl Bros. 8 tooth extroverts on it for clearance. I did this in the Viper last year, and I found the computer on Yamahainfo.com to figure the gear ratio. (stock was 22/38 and I went to 24/37) I stayed with the same ratio, just with the 8 tooth drivers and it was awesome! I just want a trail machine, with an occasional race across the lake with the guys. I am also putting in a Viper rear suspension and a Viper front suspension with shocks, radius, and tie rods. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Viper

the stock gearing is 23-38 usually it on the drivers is about 2 teeth on the top sprocket. If you do mostlt trail riding and some lake running 24-38 gearing would be perfect for you.

Thanks PRO, and will the stock chain work or do I need to go with a 70 link? I guess I'm in need of a 24 tooth top sprocket then for my SRX. Got one handy??
