:die: :die: i have a 2002 viper with cpr pipes, vforce3 reeds, cpr modded head, 41/40 helix with a dalton black green primary and a maxx perf green secondary, 144 picks in the stock track, cant remember the the weights in it, but any ways my buddy wants to race me wit his prox2 800 he just bougght, has a hot seat pipe, ported polished, head work, bored carbs, clutch work, pretty aggresive track and i think work done on the cdi box. do i have a prayer in the world of beating him or even leeping up with him? andy ideas on what i can do to to maybe beat him??????????????? please let me know caue this dank talks alot of s***.

sounds like you will give him a run... your only weakness seems to be the stock track... get rid of it.. and go with a 9830 track.

even if your hooking good, he'll hook better. he also has more torque and his sled is 50lbs lighter. if you had a better track i think it would be a lot closer, but even then, dont expect to beat him on the bottom end.

im not expecting to on teh bottom i just want to try and keep it more even with each other in teh botom if possible so i can pull away faster, i will probally get a new track i was thinking of it any ways this year, any other suggestions on how else i may be able to get just a little more out of it???????

i think a good track like a 1.25" predator or ripsaw is the biggest improvement you can do for the buck. maybe porting is next?

My buddy has a stock Prox800. He out weighs me by 50lbs. The sleds are dead even. Who ever launches better wins. My sled is a piped and ported sx.

My buddy had an 04 ProX2 800, first stock and then with simons cpr heavy hitter clutching and long studs. My sx 700r (stock, but clutched and studded) and my srx (just clutched and studded) smoked him time after time, out of the hole and top end. Wasn't even a race. He sure did beat me to the gas pump though, 8-9 mpg LOL! And to the dealer for repairs. This last week he got rid of it and bought a nytro, LOVES it!

That is awesome! Is that how we get ppl to choose yamahas? Nice job

yea this kid has been bashind be for years about yamaha's now he hates to admit that there quick seeing as i smokes his 03 f7 wit a tons of work done last year lol

All i know is my buddys boss has a xc800 and its slow he tried everything so hes ending up dumping a arcticat engine in it. Stock srx will take it no problem

out of the whole you have no chance to do the pro x suspension. they are great sleds for out of the whole and aggressive trail riding but not so good at lake racing. you should be able to take him on a lake even with his mods. because you have one more piston than him and more stroke.
