..i have just brought the above sled......, and was wondering if anyone knew what the top speed{had a indicated 150 kph out of mine} and bhp of this sleds where/are stock, ive ridden a few older sleds and this one runs like a clock and has upset some triple owners , the guy i brought it from said it was stock apart from a smaller front sprocket im well pleased with it

I believe they are about 96 hp. I am sure some one will correct me if I am wrong, My 98 vmax 600 will do 160kph (indicated) on a good day

I have a 97 XTC and the hp is about right. The top end is over 90mph which for an old sled is good. I only once kept up to the other half"s Rev 600HO from a 30mph roll to 100mph. I thought wow this thing is liking the cold (-28 )air and was running real good. Yeah it was running good alright because the oil pump had broke and was leaned right out. They always run better before they break. I had the motor rebuilt and now am ready to play again.

Do the head gasket mod and reed stopper notch or reed spacers great improvement.
