when i service my clutches, i spray a little tri-flow on the roller bushings, cam arm bushings, and secondary ramp buttons. the other day i was reading a magizine and they had an article on common mechanical dont's that many people do and it said that a set of clutches are soposed to be ran "dry as cobwebs". my question is what, if any, lubrication do you perform on regular clutch service??

Wonder if that was snowgoer? Read it too but I just wash with hot soapy water that is what the guys here that I trust the most told me to do!

the yamaha clutches are made to run dry...dont spray them with any lube.

This is true spraying them with lube will cause any belt dust to stick to the clutchs and it components, in which when you go to clean it the next time it'll be a pain. Unlike if your dont lube it, the dust will just come off with some compressed air. There really isnt a whole lot of high friction parts on your clutch thats needs lube anyway. I run dry cause I dont see the point of running lube on it.

Guy's the spray i use is a "dry-film lubricant" not wet,,it's graphite, made for clutches, collects no dust.

my clutches look like brand new inside have'nt replaced a thing on any since
i've owned them.

i clean them and re-lube every 2-4 years depending on miles,
you spray it onrollers shafts weight arm pins and other.

works ;)!
