Yeah...I know, 21-23mm. Problem is that with the adjuster threaded all the way in, I only have about 6-7mm slack. Could the stroke adjustment inside the pump be wrong and cause me to have significantly less slack?

I did a bunch of searching and could not find any other threads with this problem.

I'm at a loss, anyone else seen this? The sled is a 96 Mountain lite.

Thanks in advance

daman,
Its supposed to be 21-23. It is at 6-7 with the throttle cable disconnected so that the carbs are closed by the return spring. Almost like the oil pump cable is too short.

make sense?

Thanks for the link.

The cable has never been changed (I bought the sled new), so I think it should be the correct one. I suppose that I may have to take the oil pump off, and take it apart to figure this one out, I was just hoping that someone smarter than me(not hard) would know if there were adjustments inside the pump that could take up this slack on that end if it were improperly adjusted.

Appreciate your help daman.

Later.

The pump could be stuck a little and not pulling out all the way,
you need to adress this so you get the right oil flow to the motor..

try pulling it apart..

Hmmm..never seen that problem with that style pump...
