anyone know the way to do a harness that will open un the power valve ?? that will plug safely in the sled
Yamaha sells a plug and I think others do, but mine is from yamaha. It plugs right into the wire harness behind the louvers next to the pull cord handle. You just need a 12volt battery to run it.
i know but they sale that 80 $$ here ... i know people here did some home made harness with fuse .......

Why don't you just lower your rpm to around 900 rpm and your servo opens fully?
Save a few bucks too!
Just a thought.

it doesnt seem to go at right fully open place ...... i wanna try with the right tools if it goes at right place.... if i try too lower the iddle and mark the place i don't have enough space to adjust my cable they are all tight to the motor of power valve... someone made a mark before me i think its the right place to adjust them ....

I have a bender one, that is used. Make me an offer. Shipping will be the worst part. Maxdlx
Hey man start your sled, let it idle for a few mins and then put the choke on till it dies naturally. The valves will be fully open if you do this and then you can feel if they are flush with the exhaust ports.

I made a harness with two pieces of wire and a fuse holder. The red wire(10 amp fuse) in the test port gets 12v hot and the black gets the ground. Turn on the key and bingo, your ready to adjust. Use a 12volt battery from a lawn mower or something. If it cost you more than $2.00 you did something wrong.

do a search under pro116's posts as he did a write up with pictures on how to adjust them without spending a dime.
I did it exactly as Yamahasrx700 described-very easy.

I think I paid 30 bucks for mine from mountain performance. I am a mechanic and like to own tools even if there not nessary.

I am curious as to why you cant adjust the valves with the servo motor actuated under idle speed, I dont follow what you typed there??
A way to check and see if the mark is lining up or not is to run the sled on a stand with the servo cover off and rev it up over 7000rpm, the pulley will again cycle to wide open, this will let you know if the mark already there is proper or not. If it doesnt line up the mark either way, below 900rpm or wide open then most likely your mark is in the wrong place. The cdi sends a signal to open and close the servo motr, if you can move the servo further by the wiring harness hook up then with it running you have a faulty cdi box signal, this is common on the 98-99 srx's

it seem like the motor turn to far.. i got no more room for the nuts to jamm it the nuts is already stuck on the cable .....

then your cables are adjusted too tight, they are stretched or they are routed wrong in the pulley placement holes.

The adjustment calls for .080 (or something like that) from the guillotine mount to the cylinder. If you adjust and check only at the servomotor you really have no idea were the valves, a foot away, are at. The cables may be stretched or broken but the servomotor will still be were it should be.
they tell 2 -3.5 mm clearance specification.... well i cant get that if ill let the motor under 600 rpm and kill the motor .... it seem like the cable shrink lollll....oh well not sure but it seem like the motor turn to far on open side...

sorry, i said pro116 but it was ski... heres the link http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=30428
Remove cables from servo-motor end -> Kill the motor with choke and watch that motor will turn -> mark this servo position -> instal cables back in right place (there is two rows to use) -> fine adjust cables

Adjusting the power valves at the servomotor is like synchronizing your carburetors by measuring the length of the throttle cables. Its just the wrong way to do it. That’s my opinion.
