is this skid really as bad as it's made out to be? I mean I find it rides and handles better than my last SC10 doo skid.Is it really that much better with the edge skid swap?

i wonder the same - I had a 2000 Formula Deluxe 700 with a SC10 II and I think my dad's 97 Vmax XTC as well as my 04 Viper S ride way better.

It's harder to get em to transfer well but on 150+mile trail rides I find my ol back (46 yrs) is fine,although reverse helps with that a lot too. But if someone can make the case for the Edge or ProX I'd like to hear it? I was concerned about all the negative ProAction talk before I bought the Venom

it is all in the setup. if you take the time to learn how it works, and set it up for you, it is a alright skid. Maxdlx
