What is the highest profile track that can be ran in the 2000 srx? I am looking at putting extensions on mine. What about the windows? Do I need a fully clipped? every third? Open window? etc, etc?? I am thinking of useing the tracks usa 144 tip up extensions. I was going to go with a 144 1.5 but I don't think it will clear without new drivers. What else should I know??

you can go clear up to a 1.75" lug with 9 tooth drivers in a srx, you will need to remove the stud protectors and tunnel protectors. I ran 1.25",1.5 "and 1.75" tracks on a srx I longtracked to 136", you wont be sorry longtracking one, they ride and hook up alot better.

About the clips, fully clipped is heavier track, but if your running extrovert drivers its a must. Every third clipped is a lighter track, a lighter track is easier to turn at speed then a heavy track.

What are the stock drivers on the SRX?? I figured every third window would be a lighter track, is there a reason I can't run it on my SRX?? A 1.25" track would clear with the stock setup right? Should I put the axle out of a MM or Viper Mountain in it. I don't want to go over 1.5" because of snow conditions. We just ride in the midwest and snow can be lacking.
Thanks for the info keep it coming.

9 tooth drivers are stock on srx.

you can run any track of your choosing on the sled, clipped, or every other clipped, open and closed windows.

1.25 will clear protectors if you have a notched lug design track.

LOL I appreciate the info. I guess I am looking for suggestions. Would I be better to put in the 8 tooth drivers just for saftey? What track would people suggest? Opened, every third opend, clipped, not clipped? Are there disadvantages to running the every third window clipped ?? Cons to running open windows?

I have a 00 SRX 144 with tracks usa tunnel extenson and rail extensions. A cross Country 144X1.5 is a nice track. That is what I run. Stock drivers with tunnel protectors removed. Fits like a glove.
