Holy crap....gotta love Ebay!

If this goes for Over $250 - Then I have about $1200 worth of GYT 292's sitting on my shelf

FUNNY

This is just a "y" 292 with the GP300 crank (desired yes); '71 GP292 cylinder with stock head.....
GYT KIT also has the Free Air Head and Tune PIPE

Hope no one here is bidding on this.... its a $200 motor at best!

haha, looks like I have a decent collection of single cylinder stuff at those prices! Monty, the reed valve 292 is coming along, should be fired up this weekend.

Monty-

THat is a 71' GYT cylinder. They are very hard to find and yes i would have paid that much for one too if i didn't have one. They are for the 71' SL292's that was a bolt on kit to get more power out of it. (GYT) They have a little spout on the intake of the cylinder for the oil to connect too. Just like the 71' sl292 cylinders had, but they have hd carb mounts. (1971, they only had a sl292 with a hr carb, no GP292.) THe 71' GYT kit came with a carb and the cylinder, no pipe or head. In 72 they came with head, pipe, and i think carb too (not sure on the carb). Do you have any of these 71 GYT cylinders sitting around? I see that you a 71 Gp292 mod, is that the GYT cylinder then or is it a 72 or 73 GP292 cylinder.

Also the crank is the taper SM or GS crank, not a GP300 crank. GP300 is the same motor (bottom end) has the rest of the splined 292 motors.

GP292Racer- WHere do you race at?? Stock, improved, or mod? Those reed vavle engines are very good at getting off the line...

Just found this site and already love it... :2strokes:

I am slowly getting out of the singles. I have a (1)NOS "s"; (1)cleaned up intake&exhaust "s"; a "sb" and "sc" cylinders on the shelf. Several GP292 heads; as well as a GYT 292 pipe

I did not realize that the "s" was a GYT kit

My SR292 is running a highly modded GYT "sc" with 44vm and a custom pipe
Have a GP300 reed motor w/GYT free air headas a backup for the SR sled

Tim*ster, I race around the Eganville area, but may think of heading into NY this season. I raced a piston port 292 last season, and just finished building a reed sled for this season.
