Chaincase Dip Stick

I changed oil in the chaincase of my Vipers today and noticed the magnets on the dipstick was a little loose. I bought a couple new push clips to hold the magnets on, but now i am worried they may not hold either. How important do you guys think they are, verse's comming off in the chaincase and having that problem to deal with I have a 03 Viper ER and a 02 Standard Viper.

I squished the end of the dipstick rod in a vise.
Got that tip from another member here.
Don't know if a vipers is the same.
