I am sorry that I don't have pics, but here is what I did to attach: I filled the windshield bag completely with rags so that it gave it some shape. Next I stuffed the smallest section behind the speedometer first, then layed the two sides out where they belong along each edge of the windshield. You can now see where the velcro touches the cowling. Make sure to clean the area with rubbing alcohol before applying and I also heated the area gently with a hair dryer and affixed the velcro.
By the way, there is no place to attach the velcro behind the speedometer because of the rubber flap back there. It mentions in the instructions to place the velcro far enough back to avoid the rubber section, but that is not possible. Adding shape to the bag was the key! Hope this helps

I installed mine nearly the exact same way Squeeze play explained. I really like it and find it very useful. I can post pics later today when I get home. -Ed
I installed mine the same way too. Hey, I like the idea ofthe hairdyer to heat the plastic. I use rubbing acohol but it seems to want to peel back?

mine doesn't fit very well either, and the velcro is kind of a joke. I did use a hair dryer to heat up the velcro and then stick it down to the plastic and that helped, but the bag is a compromise at best.

I took my windshield off to install the bag and was able to find a spot for the front velcro tab. Even with that, it doesnt fit great. However, no one has ever commented on the fit either. I tried the alcohol and heat for the rear velcro tabs without much luck. I added some 3M automotive body side molding tape to the velcro this year to see what happens. When you load up the bag it really cannot go anywhere as it is trapped between the speedo and the windy.

I put one of thos windshield bags on my viper last year.....near the end of the winter on one cold night the front velcro tabs came off....I'm going to either glue them on this year or use some 3M tape.....when I first got mine I thought the same thing........how the hell is this gonna work????

Thanks Guys for some good pointers ! Yamaha has some good fit and finish machines but their windshield bag doesnt fit very well !
They should at least have a pic of the bag installed on theirs instruction sheet.

The velcro on mine didnt work well either, so i just drilled a couple holes thru it and the plastic and zip tied it on. I cant remove it easily but i never really need to.
