What kind of riding do you do, what general purpose are you looking for out of this track? Let me know and I will help you out. Thanks

Hey man...
First of all just want to say sweet ride. Second, your pipes are 18lbs lighter than stock? How is that possible? Oh and had a listen... nice is that a hauck silencer?
Anyway enough smoke up your ***! I do 85% of my riding trails & cross country with the remainder on the lake trying to piss people off! I have started looking for different ways to get more out of my 02 SRX. Machine has non studded track, boyssen rad valves and reeds, gutted air box with benders cold air intake, mbrp can which I've heard doesn't do @#*% for hp gain, but on another note did lighten the load. Stock gears clutching.
I am looking into, PRIMARY: bender orange w/8mm shim, 14.5mm rollers, 4.5g rivets i/outer. SECONDARY: Advant-edge w/47-43 helix & green spring @ 70. I've read that this is good all round set up. I will be trail porting through bender canada at the end of the season.

Thanks for the compliments.
As for the track, it is not going to perform like a studded track but it also does not have the extra weight of conventional studs. These tracks are great for the occassional trail rider who wants improved braking and slight acceleration gains. These are also much less expensive then buying studs and installing them. Let me know what you want to do. Thanks
IMO, the ice ripper sounds like a great track for you but by no means will it have the performance in acceleration of a well studded track.

YES, but, Ice rippers wont throw studs into your coolers, or into the helmets of guys following, nor do you have to drill 100+ holes in a track
This ice ripper really help in early riding on lakes, when there's minimal snow...it will give you traction on ice (hence the name)
Obviously they dont work like real studs, but it is a really good option for a little extra ice grip....

Ok... How about the feel & durablility of conventional studs crosscountry? Anyone know the wieght difference say 1-1/4 without and 1-1/4 with conventional studs?

144 studs in a track is going to add about 9-10 pounds to your track if I remember correctly. Thye ice ripper is only 1 pound heavier then a regular ripsaw. Lots of rotating weight reduced with the Ice ripper and is a great idea for the average trail rider. Let me know if you are interested in a track when you make your mind or let me know if you have any other questions.
