I noticed that my exhaust is getting on the front side of my cylinders, it doesn't look like its leaking from my exhaust gasket, would this be from worn out donut gaskets or improper springs? The donut gaskets dont look to be in that bad of shape. anyone else have this problem or an answer to this?

Is it oil (black gunk) that is getting onto your cylinder heads?

yes, very dark looking and seems to be splattering on the cylinder jugs next to the exhaust outlets. Using triple pipes, just not sure if it's the springs that are the problem because I just used what i had laying around but they seemed tight enough.

I have the directions for SLP pipes and it says to SEAL ALL PIPE JOINTS with Loctite 598 Ultra Black. But I know permatex makes stuff similar to the loctite 598, cause that what I'm using on my application.

so you just put the loctite on the donut gasket when installing the pipes? Can you just get the loctite at a local car parts store?

Thats what I'm using on my SLP's. I'm sure you can get it from Jegs or Summit if you cant find it at a local parts store.

I'm having the same problem, but I can see the leaking at the large donut. Makes a mess, doesn't it?

Seal those leaks up boys. You're losing horsepower and efficiency having leaky exhausts.

permatex worked for me.....let it dry real well before you run the machine or it will blow right out

new springs may help too. I've seen the engine pulse seperate the exhaust with a week spring.
