Yamalube is a semisynthetic,

no you shouldn't need to do anything, just run old oil down to a safe
low level and dump new in,don't know about the blue marble never
used it i, use amsoil now.

others i'm sure will be jumping in.

and :wel:

Don't know what the scoop is with Blue Marble, but they say to empty the oil tank down as far as possible with-out letting air in the system, they also recommend that you pour some in the jugs and let sit for a couple days while you rotate the pistons a few times a day. Something about conditioning and coating the metal????????????????? :postwhore

Run a good synthetic in that baby and your engine will thank you. Sooner or later, it will thank you. Just run it down to a safe level as daman said and make the switch, there really aren't any issues with compatibility anymore. Don't believe me? Pick up a snowtech from a few years back, they mixed everything they had in one sled and ran it balls out, something like 13 different kinds of oil, no issues. A good rule of thumb is 100-125 miles per quart of oil, maybe a little more on the srx's and vipers.

daman hows amsoil working for you
how much do you go through per tank of fuel?

Don't know Big Gun we still have green grass and 50deg's out #$%&* :o|,
haven't put a mile on!!!

i'll let ya know when or if i get to ride this year...LOL

a full synthetic is definitely the way to go . it will create less friction than conventional, therefore your motor will run cooler and will have less wear. amsoils 2 stroke has different additives in it wich will also benefit your motor. they have a detergent for cleaning and keeping carbon and other deposits of off you pistons and cylinders , which will allow everything to move freely, they have an additive which helps fill any voids or wear marks or scatches , minor ones, that is, and they have a special coating protectant , which will help during storage in those none riding months, this helps to prevent any rust or corrosion build up.i could go on and on but you get the jist of it. no other synthetic competitor has the total package that amsoil does. besides that amsoil was the first to come out with a synthetic oil. i really do not think you will regret the switch to synthetic. i run it in my '96's and 1 of them has 9800 miles the other 8400 miles and they are the most reliable sleds ever! :letitsnow
also , don't be afraid to mix your oil at first. it won't hurt a thing, the only problem is you will not get the full effect of synthetic right away but amsoil is compatable with everything, so just fill that resevoir and run the sled, no need to drain anything!
