this snowmobile pacakge is ready to ride, includes

2001 Yamaha SX Viper 700 sled, has 9300mi, BUT only has 120 miles since being completely rebuilt, new engine top to bottom, new clutch, new rollers and slides, everything was rebuilt or replaced at the dealer, only thing not replaced was the drive chain and the orig track (both are fine!) the track has 144 studs in it, the sled is very nice with no damage, cracks or problems rides great and is very fast!!

2nd sled is a 2002 Yamaha SRX 700, 144 studs in track, excellent condition,6100miles on it, no damage also dealer maintained

also included is a 2000 carmate 2 place trailer that also has a spare tire

there is nothing needed and nothing at all wrong with these sleds, you wont be disapointed!!!both sleds start right up on the 2nd or 3rd pull, 100% ready to ride

I'm seriously considering buying this.

Opinions?

yami didnt make the viper til 2002. start there with validating all the info and history on the sleds. maybe its just a typo or they arent quit sure what they are selling and telling you.

Is this from a dealer or from a private sale? I would say you are going to be paying around 2500-4000 for each sled (less for the viper more for the SRX)... but again this depends if its teh dealer or not. Im not big into trailers... so i dont know much about them but i would guess around the 6 grand range for everything would be a good amount... just me doing some simple math!

It's a private sale. They're asking $5,000 for everything. I don't need, nor do i care about the trailer, so i'd probably sell that for $400 or whatever. I already have an SRX 600, so i'd sell at least one of the three sleds. I think they probably got the years mixed up, and it's a 2001 SRX and 2002 Viper, i'm waiting on a reply though.

WEll to me, i think thats a VERY good deal. 5,000 for 2 sleds and A trailor. I say you can Bargin with him a little... Show up with 4,500 IN CASH and im sure he wont refuse. Like you said, you can make pretty much half your money back if you sell 1 of the 3 sleds and the trailor. I think thats a Good buy!

No they look bent to me too, that trailer looks whip'ed, i wouldn't give a heck of a lot for that.

i'd offer 4-42 or walk..

This package was on Ebay recently. It must have not sold. I don't remember what they wanted? I wonder if you can do a search for them on ebay to see the cost and more info. The control looks bent and there is alot of rust on an open trailer.

Yeah those control arms are definetly bent, looks like the trailing arm is too. Can't say that I haven't done that myself though. ;):D

My buddy and i offered him 4500 cash. He wouldn't go below 5500 so we let it go. I guess he should have taken it.

Those were listed on ebay....... I remember looking at the pics of the viper, it was in ROUGH shape. The srx was in better shape then the viper. I would guess that viper was rode very hard and left outside all year round to have the rust it had all over it. I would say pass on that deal!!!!

I saw those things on ebay too, looked like a decent deal, then i realized how beat those sleds look. Wouldn't be bad package for 42-4500 though, still would be a steal.

I saw them about a month or so ago but as he said still seems to be a pretty fair price as long as there is no problems with the motors.

I believe they were in new hampshire or mass, thats what caught my eye but like you said they both look pretty beat for there age. BUt i will always be weary of a good deal since they are usually too good to be true.
