HOLY SMOKES!!!!!!!!!!!
I just called AD Boivin to try and get a replacement brass bushing for the suspension on my sled. They won't sell you just the one bushing, you have to buy a whole new bolt and bushing kit. All to the tune of $116!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is crazy, don't you guys think????? So, if anyone has bought this outrageous kit, I am needing the brass bushing at the bottom of the aluminum bar that runs to the top of the tunnel mount, the long one that says Expert X on it. All I need is that one little bushing, and they want $116 for a whole kit :whine: Let me know guys and thanks a lot.

Call a dealer

Last time I called them they wouldn't even talk to me because I wasn't a dealer. Prior to that I bought lots of individual parts from them. Why don't you try call Aaron at Excell Motorsports 315 691 6916. Otherwise, I have several used ones that I will give you for free.

they do sell just the bushing but the people on the phone are to lazy to look up part #.thats why i stopped selling their product to much hassle dealing with them.i would call aaron and he can get you what you need.you miswell get acouple because they wear or break enough.

go to a yamaha dealer or any farm eqipement dealer. with your measurements and if the parts person is friendly youll be able to find a match. my mom works at a yamaha/john deer dealership and half the bushings on my sled are john deer, alot cheeper same goes for bolts and other misc. stuff. I guess shipping on a bushing from us is cheaper than shipping it from japan.

Just call Aaron at Excell Motorsports. I just order 2 bushing for my ExpertX. $5 ea. and he had what I needed in stock. Plus you dont have to deal with Canadas slow shipping, cause trust me its slow.

Just to split hairs here, it's YOUR customs office that slows down the process, just like ours slows it down coming from your side of the ditch. :)

crewchief47: Sorry I didnt know that was the reason for the 2-3 week shipping.

Plowboyblake: Call Excell, I recieved my parts 2 days after I called, so ya really cant beat that. But he had what I needed in stock. It might be a diff, story on the parts you need, but its worth a try over waiting 2 or more weeks.

Actually, I was a little crusty this morning and probably could have worded that a little more politely, sorry.

Carry on! Sorry for the :offtopic:

I just called Aaron at Excell. Great guy to deal with. Also, he set me up with all the bushings in the skid and sent me an upgrade that he has come up with to keep it more stable... Hope we get some snow so I can try it out....Thanks guys.

PlowBoy was the upgrade the cross shaft kit that connects the 2 swingarms where the 2 wholes are at the top???? Or is it something else???? Cause I just installed the cross shaft kit to keep her from twisting or flexing.

Does the added cross-shaft go in one of the 2 holes labelled below, or elsewhere?

SRXer: Those swing arms dont have the 2 hole design at top. The 2 hole design was the orginal, but was changed to that design, but then CHANGED back to the 2 hole design. The design I have has 2 holes right where you put HOLE A. The cross shaft kit has 3 round stock peices, 1 goes between the MAIN arms and the other 2 go between the gap in each side of a arm. Does that make sense to ya??????? I'll try and get a pic up soon, it diff. a good idea. I'm actually thinking of adding another one to the other set of holes, I know I'm adding weight to the skid but I'm adding strength to what keeps it straight and from twisting. But if I do add another one I'll just give the business to Aaron, even though I have access to a lathe.

I gotcha. Mine already has a spacer between the 2 sides of the swingarms at hole A, so I would just have to add a long one betweeen the main arms. If you are thing of adding another, just make sure it doesn't hit the tops of the front idler wheels at full compression. Something else to dabble with next summer maybe. Or maybe yet this year if it never friggin snows! Thanks for the reply.
