With Mt. Viper cables, how tall of a riser can be used? Is 5.5" of rise too much cuz that is I may end up going to if I can. XC :letitsnow

If you are using the stock bars, you might be out of range of the stock cables. I use a 2" block, 6" pivot and pro taper bars with the stock cables. But the pro tapers dont have nearly the rise of the stock bars. I was a bit surprised i didnt need cable extensions, but right now they are at their very limit.

I installed a cheap 2" block and twisted the bars up anf foward till the brake handle hits the windshield on full right turns and the cables are TIGHT!
no more room for higher

01 SXr 700 Just put on Rox 5.5" Adjustables and the MViper cables work as long as you route the cables in the centre of air box. My oiler cable was long enough as well as the emergency brake cable. You will need a longer brake hose also.

I have a 2" block riser on right now and was thinking about getting a 3.5" Rox and put on top the block. For another few dollars I could the 5" Rox riser. Should I just go with the 5" Rox riser or the 3.5" just in case the 5" won't work with stock bars? I said stock bars cuz someone made the comment they are taller than some aftermarket bars.

the mtn cables and an aftermarket brake hose should have enough slack for a 5" rise and stock bars. the stock wiring on the other hand, will need to be lengthened!

Wiring, Really? I have not heard of this being a problem but I will have to check that out before I make any commitments. Thank You, XC

most of the wires that run to the handlebars get tight with my 3.5". it would be easy to extend them with some crimp on connectors though.

The wires are tight and I had to take the tie straps off until I have time to make them longer.
