I have always been a believer in OE stuff when it comes to pistons, however SPI seems to make a decent piston. The have the coated piston kits for pretty short money. One of the locals has been using them for a few years and has nothing but good to say about them.

I should have down in my avatar exactly what you have for location.
Never heard of SPI pistons but recommend OEM yamaha pistons. I wouldnt take the chance. Cheap or not.

My dealer has just informed me that SPI actually makes some of the pistons for the factory machines. I believe its Ski-Doo that contracts some pistons to them.

sure hope your right when the dealer cleaned the powervalves he said there was lines on the pistons but i would think there would be. yhey were not scratches. i would think from a piston going up and down it would automatically have some sort of a linecacsrx1 said:U dont need them. Trust me.

Alot of the big twin mod machines run the spi pistons. They are in almost ll of the ski doo race sleds, and cutom built. i have a new set waiting to go in my viper next year when I have Mr viper port it. its not the 80's anymore guys when wiesco where cheap junk replacements. All of the afer market piston co really stepped up there game. The spi come coated too, thats another benifit over stock. Maxdlx
