My buddy has an 02 viper similair to mine, the person that owned the sled before owned a performance shop. What he did was put a Arctic-cat helix in with some type of roller set up..looks pretyt weird on there but the sled worked really well..Today he brung the clutch up to me to look at and on the inside sheave (both) there were about 1/8 inch grind mark or wear mark maybe not that deep but definetly something i've never seen before..and they were about 1-1/5 long on the bottom inside sheaves...has anyone ever seen this? I'm curious to what might have made this happen...seems to me something might have froze up or something..

was he still running the 8dn belt? a friend of mine had a rather large rock get lodged between his track and tunnel when he got stuck crossing a small river (track would not spin) but he kept on the gas trying to get out. what a mess he made of both primary and secondary clutches and his belt!! had to replace both sheaves on both . cost him a mint!!btw , this was on an rx-1.
