is there a gyt single or twin pipe for a 98 xtc 500? and if there is ,does the jetting change? or spring&helix change? is the pipe the best performance upgrade? this is a great forum, thanks for all the info

The best performance up grade I found so far is clutching. There is a set up on this sight worked great for me. I also installed a MPRP race scilencer it helped a little but saved alot of weight. A ripsaw track is another great addition :winterrul

the 500 twins are finiky with jetting when you pipe them. that is why i never did it to my 500. i put a can on mine. the clutching was the biggest improvement for me.

i am runnin a modified vemaxjhons setup from the tec pages. if your sled has the right parts it would be a simple upgrade for you. i know 98 and older 500cc motors came with the 8ab's he used in his. all you might need is a new primary spring and the helix for the secondary.

also ditch the steel skis and put on a take off set of attack/rx/viper skis. that alone makes a huge diference.
