I may just be fishing for interest here . But would anyone out the be interested in a possible straight up trade for an RX1 . Thinking of maybe trying a 4 stroke just for kicks .I have an 04 Viper S with about 700 , give or take a dozen or so miles .It has a bender can and a custom seat riser other than that bone stock . I do have a bender clutch kit that has never been installed that will go with it . It is in IMMACULATE condition ! And I cant stress that enough . This machine has never been wrecked and has nothing wrong with it. I know the round about book on it is somewhere in the mid $4k range and i realize I would probably have to settle for a RX1 with more miles on it . But If there is anyone out there that misses the smoke in their face let me know .

Try to get an 05 RX1 with the better suspension and all the updates and best seat.

yes and most ofthe 03 and 04 rx1's had problems burning oil but yamaha fixed that in 05 they put in different syle piston rings.Plus the 05 is alot lighter it has some titanium parts.
