Hi everybody, I have a 94 vmax 600 and i'm having a problem with my belt.
primary clutch is stock and the secondary is a reverse cam design i think its off the 96 vmax 600. my problem is my belt is way to tight its very hard to take off and put on, at idle it squels and puts load on the motor . the belt part # is 138-4416 its a ULTIMAX 3, is this the right belt for my sled or the setup that i have? thank you very much.

That is the right belt according to my Royal Distributing catalog, search this site for treads such as "sled creeping" or Belt squeal lots of good info here.

Sounds like a simple little issue in deflection, caused either by secondary adjustment or center to center distance. Check the center to center first or you will be trying to put a band-aid over the real underlying issue.
