Im just curious what suspension can be put in a SRX without making any major mods... basically bolt it and whats the overall best... im looking at upgrading my 2000 srx to soemthing with better suspension...i have ohline fronts by the way on sled now with the stock suspension and transfer rods

heard the m10 loses holeshot and mph... i dont mind couple mph but is the holeshot loss noticable?

heard SC3 by skidoo fits in also?

is the viper with 11.5" travel a good upgrade? and will it bolt right in

thanks for the help in advance

The Viper skid is not enough of an upgrade to make it worth it. The SC10 III would be a great upgrade, but you would have to get a template or mounting locations from a donor sled. Not sure about the M10
I installed a Cat skid in my Viper and love the "major" improvement

really.. that is my first choice is m10 or cat as i know the cat skid inside out... what all did you have to do to put the cat skid in?

I am installing a SCIII10 in a viper right now. The back mounting holes are a piece of cake. The front mounts are a different story. Looks like I am going to have to remove the steering hoop and modify it so the suspension bolt can go through it. It ended up right on top of the steering hoop support where it bolts on the tunnel. If you want some more information or pictures as I get further along let me know. Way cheaper than buying an M10, got the skid off ebay for $350 and sold my old skid for $225.

The skid from my sled is going to be for sale.
Viper-ized shocks & soft front spring
Oversize Doo wheels in the front
All new bushing and bearings
Super beefed up "W" arm
Adj, Stock Viper rods

Shoot me an email if interested

the m10 does not have to be slow, install 8in wheels in it. also, alot of speed loss comes from track adjustment, these skids run crazy loose when the sled is unloaded and get tighter as it is compressed.

as for the tranfer, it is what ever you want it to be, just cut the block. this skid is similar to the proaction in its transfer set up. just cut the block to your liking. if you like to think your hooking up and lifting the skis off the ground then cut the crap out of it. if you really want to make it hook up, add traction. transfer does not mean traction any more than loud pipes make power.

the viper skids are great in those sleds and are a great improvement, if your going to keep it and ride it several thousand miles then go with the m10, with ohlins and 8in wheels.

I believe you would need a mount kit for your sled from Fast to install it.
