Anyone know the code for 8 repeating flashed. The manuals I have do not show this.

I unpluged all the wired to the handlebars and it still was blinking. This flashing will start right away while the sled is warming up.

Thanks for the help!!

The connector looks good - how was yours bad? The cable it connects to is not shorted either.

The sensor is hooked up and my sled had been cooled down for 90 minutes.....the resistance of teh sensor is 2349 ohms. Any idea if this is bad or good? When I unplug the sensor it or plug it in the 8 repeats the same.

on mine, the connector was loose. i ended up putting a new one on plus i added a temp gauge just to be on the safe side. the connector should have a tight/snug fit.

here is the pic. you can kinda see the zip ties holding/pulling the plug tight to the connector. hope this helps.

On my viper at one point the wire broke where it goes into the temp sensor, did the same thing. I have seen a few other vipers with the same thing.

I had that same problem while up in eagle river Wisconsin. i took it to Heckels and the guy told me that there was an updated coolant temperature connector.. there was some problem with the connector the wires were NOT broken,, i replaced the connector and it worked fine!!!

Thanks for the help..... The wire was broke right behind the connector. Took a while of messing around to get it figured out.....(I took the harness out...

Thanks again!!

I bought the connector from heckels.. it was about 6 or 7 dollars.. Like I said, It worked fine and I still haven't had any problems with it
