In an earlier thread I requested some asistance in installing front heat exchanger protectors in my 91 exciter II

Vmax 540 went above the call of duty and took pictures of his 90 exciter I installation and posted them for me

So today reconning on my back and the only thing i can find in that location is the piece if sheet metal that a riveted into place between the back edge of the belly pan and the vetical front wall of the tunnel (last year when I bought the sled)

This can mean only 2 things:

1 the previous owner damaged the exchanger and took it out.

2 despite it being shown on the yammy online fiche, it just never had one

please advise...chris

I've never heard of one that came without a front exchanger. It's possible he removed it for track clearance or removed it after damaging it.

Yes, it was removed. They don't cool very much I would imagine, but with Exploders, you want as much cooling as you can get.

I have one, 15$ + shipping.

Max..
no other exchangers, she's bone stock other than this.

its a real crappy spot to put an exchanger
every sled I've owned has shown damage in that location

I rode it w/o over heating last year but I'd like one around for when i replace the track in a year or 2

Mars..
do you have a pay pay account to send $ to

Yes I do.

email me/ send payment if you want it "marcelbrosseau AT hotmail.com"

Save your back ... turn the sled on it's side.

My Buddy, Cause He Ran His Studdedtrack Loose, Caught It And Ripped It Right Out Of The Sled! Luckily I Was With Him Beause He Never Heard A Thing And Would Have Kept Going. Saved His Engine
