Hi everyone,
I have a question about paint for my vmax. Does anyone know what the code is? I looked in the tech pages and it has a formula for yamaha blue but I am not sure if this is for a 96 or not, plus that is the formula and not the code. The person getting the paint for me uses Dupont and not PPG. He can convert it if he has the code. If anyone can help out I will repost the Dupont code.
Thanks
Giddy

If your talking about a '96 xt,,i think that blue is different from a SRX blue.
Yes it is an XT, can't seem to find paint code anywhere.
Thanks for reply,

that may be a hard one to find,,maybe if you took a side panel off and
went to a place that mixed paint they could match it somehow.
if you find it some time make shure you post back with the formula
so others will know it..
I talked to Yamaha today and they gave me a color and code (Metallic Blue Green). The code is for Color Rite paint 0D8 (Zero Delta Eight). Hopefully someone knows how to convert this to either a Dupont or PPG code.

would it still be good???
Should still be good I only mix my paint in a cup and not in the original container, Plus he may have a hard time finding compatable solvents because of the rapid changes the paint markets are moving at. Tdaman said:would it still be good???
