Damn pins will not come out of my old cyl.
Does anyone have any tricks to remove them? I have all my parts waiting to go together. I don't want to wait to after christmas to get new ones.

I have tried penetrating oil and vise grips already.
Just marking up the pins and slipping on them.
I now have the cyl in the freezer to see if that helps.

They were in my old cylinder that is cracked and needed to go in a new cyl I got off bluewho.
I tried my best to get them out being calm. That didn't work, soooooooo long story short--- cyl meet 5 lb sledge hammer.
I actually feel better, BUT now I need new dowel pins!

If you heat the jug and not the dowel pins the jug should expand then you should be able to remove the dowels.

Try using side cutters (dykes) on them. Grap the pin with the tip of the cutters (squeeze real hard so the cutting edge bites into the pin), place a thin piece of wood (shim stock) under the jaws to avoid buggering up the gasket/seal surface and pry down with the handles/up on the pin.
Craftsman or Husky's won't work. Snap-on or Mac/Matco should.
