clutching a mtn viper for more top end?

friend of mine has an 03 mtn viper. he would like to see more top end mph on his sled. we really do not have alot of mtn's or deep snow here in eastern nfld so i dont know why he ever bought the mtn viper. anyway, what do you you guys think he should run to get more top end but keep the quick backshift? the sled is stock, and i know the primary weights are 8dn-10's . btw, it also has reverse.
 

mark your clutches with a marker line and see how far out they shift, but
I think gearing 21 top, 40 bottom 8 tooth drivers = @ 2.15
short track viper 22 top, 38 bottom 9 tooth = 1.73
 
Have him pick up a set of 8DN-20's. If it has 8 tooth drivers, 23/38 would work great and some SLP pipes if he has the extra cash.
