I just bought an m-10 and I am not very familiar with them any advice would be appreciated very much. The skid is a 121" w/ohlins, it has a performance engineering off-set axle w/ 8" wheels. Is it normal to have the two smaller wheels in the middle they are about 61/2 i think. The rear wheels are even at the floor and in the back, but if you put a straight edge across the middle wheels at the point in between they stick out about 3/8 of an inch. Is this normal? will the track tighten and run ok? the track will be pushed out in the middle at that spot. Also on the rear shock there is a small spring inside the big spring that looks like it can jump around and rattle am i missing something that holds it tight? lastly does any one know if the polaris mount kit will work in a proaction viper? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jim

The offset wheel kit will have a little difference in the wheel location, mine seems to be fine. Yes the small spring is loose inside the larger spring. the pupose of this spring is too only touch when close to bottoming out. The mount kits will work, but may need modification. When mounting the skid in the proaction, you may need to grind some rivits. If the skid was a production polaris m-10 then you can use the information that I provided for mounting it in a viper. Here are some pics.

Thanks that was great info, I measured mine and they are 8" od on the outside wheels and 63/8" od on the rear center wheels just like it shows. I think I will call a tech guy at PE and ask him if it is normal for the middles to stick out a little. This site is great, all the info is appreciated. Jim

Everything that I have read states the 121 m-10 must use the stock 6.00" inner wheels when running an 8" offset axle kit. There is not enough clearance to go any bigger. I have 2 late model m-10's and the rear wheels are 6.00" from the factory not 6 3/8".
Exactly what size are your inner rears?
