RE: 2002 MMax 700 Pullchord Starter assembly question
hey guys, when I removed my recoil assembly of my mmax i noticed (before I even removed it) I could look inside and see the rotor and pickup coil, all out in the open, there is no cover under the recoil assembly and it stands off quite a ways from the engine, isn't this dangerous of snow/ice/belt dust all gettin inside that area? am I missing a cover???? please help..

I agree, looks like show/ice and belt dust can get in there and do damage if sandwitched between the pickup coil and the rotor. that's why I was getting worried.
