I am new to the joy of snowmobiles so this may sound stupid. How do I raise my ride height on a 2002 Viper? I am a big guy and need to raise it any help you can give me would be great.......

Scott, does the suspension compress too far with your weight on the sled or do you want to raise the height of the sled for clearance or other reasons? If you provide more details on what you want your suspension to do, we will be able to help you much better.

mostly for my weight, Im 250lbs and it seams to sit low just sitting on it. It dosen't bottom out but it might on our trails, so I want to raise it before the tails open up (if we ever get some snow). Hope this helps!!

At 250 lbs you will want the full rate adjuster (front mount of the rear shock) in the medium position if you are more of a trail cruiser, and probably hard if you are an aggressive rider. The bottom is the hardest postion, top is the softest. Then from there set your rear spring preload for a 50/50 control rod gap with your weight on the sled. You adjust the rear spring preload with the threaded adjustment on the shock body, which compresses the big rear spring.
