Hello

I have a 1997 XTC 600 twin. Las season I put on a set of power Inc. Twin pipes, Thin head gasket, Carbon Fiber reeds, and reed spacers. I had the carbs rejeted buy a guy, so I am not real sure what is all done to them. The problem that I am haveing is the sled is way to ritch when it is warmer out. The sled runs awsome when it is 0 out side. When it is 20's or 30's out it loads up and makes no power on the top end. It dosent eat up plugs or any thing. you can here it brakeing up through the mid range. But when its cold it really go's...

My questions are do the carbon fiber reeds help or hurt me. Should I go back to the stock reeds? How about the reed spacers? Do they make enough power to even be worth haveing? How should I set up the carbs? The season is close.... Any help would be greatly appricated.

The answer in a nut shell is unless you are willing to run a tempa flow or vari flow, with those mods, you must just rejet for temps. Maxdlx

Yea you have to rejet! 2 strokes are not just start & go! The way yours is set up you will need more tuning at temp changes more than a stocke sled. Tempa flow is the way to go for you!
