Hi there!

As some of you probably know, I have changed the engine in my sx500r into a sx700r 01' engine.
The sled is 99% done, one of the things that remains is the tuning part.

- I havent done any work on these kind of oil pumps before, but I have managed to bleed the oil pump by removing a screw on the oilpump and I re-tighten it when there was no air bubbles in the oil line.
Does this method seems right and do you think i should leave it with this?

- Should the oil cable and the throttle cable move equal to each other?
I mean, when the throttle is 1/2, should the oil pump also be 1/2?

- Well, then to a little problem. You see, there is 3 wires from the tail/brake light in my seat (The seat is from a 00' Srx 700). That would be: Ground, tail light and break light.
But from the engines "wire-net"(Dont know the word) there is 4 wires into one connector.
As you see I have to make some sort of home-made connector.

But what is the fourth wire for? I havent had time to measure anything yet, but I will do it later today. If any of you have experienced this before, please let me know. Should i just "blind" the fourth wire?

- Last question is about jetting.
My sled runs this set-up:
Team roller secondary, stock weights w/4.5g rivet in 1st hole and 3.1g in tip,
2-3 engagement shims,
stock springs, 2 layers removed from head gasket and
22/40 gearing. Jetting: 142.5 mains
14.5 mm rollers

I mostly ride in temperatures around -13 degrees F to 30 defrees F and 250 - 2500 feet above sea level.

Would the 142.5 mains be good?

I would appreciate any help.
Thanks!

On the oil pump you need to set throttle end play then adj. oil cable(to spec. then idle in that order.

i think they come up the same yes(or close)

Thanks Daman!

Anyone up for this one?

Thanks Daman, but I made a connector and it seems to work just perfect. But a wiring diagram would be great. Don't know what the Orange/black wire was for, i measured about 6.8-7 V. out of it.
