Okay i have a set of HH's with a base weight of 51.3 i added 3.3 to the heel and then 4.6 to the first hole our of three on the arm so i am at a totall of 59.2 grams i am running a 53/43 helix with a red secondary wrapped at 70 with a hauck orange in the primary, my clutches are cut so i have marked them with a marker and i still cant get the belt to the top of the clutches. It is still about a 1/8 to a 14 of a inch way from the top. i have noticed that my helix is not cut either, i am going to cut it down the the bushing will that bring my clutches up? I also have stock gearing, Also my RPM's are around 8400 out of the hole and bounces to 8200 and then tops out at 8500. I get it to stop bouncing by adding more weight to the heel???
I also tryed the same base weight with a hauck BLACK spring and a silver secondary wrapped at 70 and my RPM's dropped, how come it will only pull 8000 on top end and 8400 to 8450 out of the hole? I know that the point of a hack black, but how would i get the rpms up on the top end.

The silver secondary should raise rpm,s vs the red so something there is wacked..... but.... I see you changed the primary spring at the same time so that explains that. Black spring has less total force then the Hauck orange. Add 1/4" allen to heel, use Hauck orange primary & red at 90 or get a green & run it at 60 & you should be perfect.

This is what I have found with HH's. Load your tip first untill top rpm is right than the mid and then the heel. I know it is backwards to what the directions say but it works. And I don't like to run much weight in the mid if any. And you will not get the belt all the way to the top even with a cut helix. Unless you are speed running than a 1:1 clutch ratio is more efficient than overdrive anyways.

The tip to front method is good for top end racing but you will get very poor backshift & your 60' times won,t be as good.

It seems to work good for 660. Maybe not load the tip quite as much for trail riding.
