Do the Viper (03 mtn) and a 99MM (sx) have the same clutch offset?
I have my tool I bought from MPI that I used on my Viper
but on two 00/99 MM's that I have checked, both MM's seem to off
3/16" (clutch out). I thought all Yami's had the same offset. There is
no way I can get the engine over any farther on them, they are hitting
the bulkhead.

O.K., I found in the tech pages that they are different but why? Are the
primaries differnt thickness? Secondary? They use the same 8DN belt.
I'm a little confused here.

the viper uses a differnt spec because it didnt come with a engine tensioner like a srx did, so they give you a differnt spec to use, its for when the engine is up in the torq band the alignment will be correct, ((stupid in my opinion))if you simply install the engine tensioner you just set it up the same as the others.
