Before I removed the secondary, I noticed that it had roughly 1/8 " of play on the shaft...

When I finished my track swap, I tighjtened it all the way so there is so play on the shaft at all.

Should there be any room for the secondary to move on the shaft??

Tightness of the bolt should not be the sole factor deciding free play on the secondary shaft. You should have about 1/8" of free-play (secondary moving in and out) when the bolt is tightened and torqued properly. If you have no free play at all, maybe one of the spacers is in the way (between the bolt and the secondary). The bolt should be torqued to about 40-45 ft/lbs (my guess-timate).

There isn't any need for the play you have on the jackshaft as long as your clutch alignment is in spec. If you can, set the clutch alignment spot on and get rid of the play. Otherwise, you have a shim or two that is probably pinched between the bolt head and the spacer that slides over the bolt as you put in through the secondary.

The play should be there if you haven't adjusted anything. They come from the factory like this. It is supposed to be a self aligning clutch. On paper it sounds good, but i can't tell you if it actually works or not. I have the clutch set right and no play, but it's up to you.

well, when I had it tightened all the way, the allignment looked perfect....but I remeber when disassembling, that there was a tiny bit of play on the shaft.....
