What is the best way to set up the rear suspension on a 99 MM700 for deep powder? The sled has an MPI set back kit with a 151 track and the MPI transfer kit. Any suggestions for limiter strap and shock settings is greatly appreciated.

Nobody? Any suggestion on front limiter staps? Full out or pulled in?

I have my front straps out all the way, it rocks in the deep stuff.... PLUS IT WILL PULL A SERIOUS WHEEL STAND>>

Thanks for the reply. I have my straps all the way out too, but the sled trenches really bad. I was thinking of puling them in and give the front of the track a better approach angle. Is this true? Will this work better in the powder?

Had the same trouble with my Mt. Viper. Put on a set of MP straps in-place of the transfer rods, dropped the rear suspension to the bottomhole, changed clutching. I have the rear of rear shock on 5 and the front of rear shock on 2. Front straps are let all the way out cause now I have alot of ski pressure. Aleast it is alot better now (trenching). Everyone says a 151 will complete the set-up, maybe next year. At least now it is livable. :letitsnow

I also have the MPI strap kit, and my upper idlers in the bottom hole, and a 151 OOPs for got to mention that...

In the fresh, I lighten the rear spring, tighten the middle and tighten the front springs if you have taken the sway bar out. Also loosen up the front limiter. You won't like this on the trail though. Boing, boing

I have a 01 MM 700.
MPI transfer kit in the suggested starting location.
Front limiters out all the way. ( trenching bad )
Pulled the front limiters in 3 turns. ( Much better )
I may try another couple of turns for the heck of it.
I have not been able to try much climbing yet but it is
a blast in the POW.
