Per the instructions:
1: remove stock exhaust
2: install flanges with stock gasket
3: relocate the hood strap from the tower on the mag side, moving it over about 5 inches, and refasten with the supplied 1/4" x 20 x 1" button head screw, washer and nut.
4: rivet the tower plate on the mag side tower. use the existing rivet hole.
5: install the cross member plate under the pto strap on the cross member.
6: place the mag pipe (2 dot) pipe on first, and spring it to the engine only, then intall the center (3 dot) pipe and finally the pto (1 dot ) pipe
7: make sure all the pipes are exiting the stock hole then spring the pipes together and down to the cross member. CHECK HOOD CLEARENCE BEFORE RUNNING
Max power is produced between 8800-9200 RPM.
Hope that helps...let me know if you need more info.

That is a very good question. Only thing I could figure is they are refering to the front of the bulkhead where the belly pan rivets to it. The PTO side pipe sets pretty close the the belly pan there. I just used some aluminium tape there to protect the plastic and haven't had a problem. I didn't use the "cross member plate".

A Simon's Super Tune clutch kit...basicly Heavy Hitters and a couple of stiffer springs. Also a Bender Opticool head gasket (highly recommended). Other than that just a 2" handlebar riser, low black windshield and a couple of stickers to help it go faster (mostly helps the holeshot).

The crossmember strap goes on the mag side, under the pto pipe. It is what holds the pto pipe down. Maxdlx
