Ok so durring my track change i noticed that my upper boggie wheels bearings are toast, so i went to the yamaha dealer, to get a pair they said they had none in stock but have a bin full of boggie wheels that are after martket, so i went through it and found to identical wheels drove home only to find out they are 7.5" instead of 7". I belive they are for a bombardier. Will it be ok to use these wheells. I have a 02 viper with a 1" track. would it only bring the track up 1/4".

The reason why im asking is i cant get the 7 in for at least a week and need to go ridding this weekend. I guess I could always use the old wheels they still roll but arnt that smooth.

They will fit. I am going to run the vintage SRX 7.5 rear wheels on my 02 SRX

If you got 8 inch wheels then you would need to get an offset axle kit. They will help redusce rolling friction... RUN THEM!!!!

put the 7in from the rear axle on the upper wheels and put the new 7.5 on the rear axle , a little more work , but those 7.5 on the rear will work really well , alot of people run 8 on the back , but you need a new axle to do that , 7.5 is perfect , bigger wheels and stock axle .. just my opion ..

dahm tom i think we were typing at the same time .:)

Yes, do that but you will need to pick up 1 more 7.5 wheel cause the rear axle has 3 and move 2 from your rear to your upper.

well i hate to break it to you guys but the axle on the upper is a different size. You can t use the rears on the top. the rears use a 6004bearing and the top uses a 6205bearing

well , i thought it WAS a good idea ... i dont see any reason you cant use them up top ...

heres a pic of the wheels and the pn is R0190E/5

hey thoes are the same ones i just boght for my sled to run on top. so i can put my ohlin bach in so the track doesnt coast me another 250 bucks in parts cause it rubed trhew the can and body. it should be fine. u cant run them on the back cause they are 25 mm barings u need a 20 mm for the rear.

If you run the 7.5 wheels off the old srx's and bravo's on your rear axle you have to change all of your wheels on the skid. Why you ask. If you don't, the rear wheels will be hanging down farther than the rest and your track will not have an even force touching on the ground. Your rear wheels will have all the pressure pushing down on the track. resulting in poor traction. Just my two cents.

so if i have an ohlins shock in the rear of my viper i need to run the bigger top wheels? i haven't noticed any rubbing yet, but i will look closer.
also, in regards to what sxr-x said, is this the best way to do it? run the vintage rear srx wheels with all larger bottom wheels? and aren't these stock poo wheels(5.35")?
