I need some stock clutching help. I have a 2001 MM600 triple. We ride mostly at around 1600 feet and make a couple of trips a year to the mountains. This sled has always over rev'd on the top RPM (9000 when pinned). Compaered to my 00 MM700 it runs at a higher RPM all the way across the RPM band. I have had a coulpe of dealer take a look at it and played with it but still over revs. Right now I have 8dg 17.2/17.2, ywy spring. I am sure that 15.6 rollers are in it as well as the 43 degree helix. I noticed that the SXR has 14.5 rollers with 47 dedree helix and a YGY spring and the DX has 15.0 rollers and 47 degree helix and a YGY spring. I have some 8CR wright I could play with if needed be. By the way it over revs in the mountains also. everything thing is stock. Can you help?

Go with 8cr weights. Engagement will be a little high with those rollers so see if you can find a w-p-w primary spring or y-s-y from a rx-1/apex. Start with a 3.1 gram inner & a 2.4 gram outer. Should be close.
