what exactly does the TORS do?

Tors

The tors (switch) is just a safety device so in case the throttle would stick (broken cable or carb part) the sled wont keep going wide open after you release the flipper. You can test this out by holding the throttle at the pivot pin & pushing/pressing the flipper you will see it limits it's rpm...if this happens while driving and most often when turning one way or another, than your throttle cable free play is to tight...the fix is to adjust you free play to specs...hope this helps

TORS - Throttle Over Ride System. i've had it, soon as you let of the gas from high RPMs and you try and endage again you will notice a huge bogging sound.. Like a rev limiter as said above. then you gota pretty much Stop and Then go.
