does the cdi box make something to the ignition curve or it give just a normal signal to spark and thats all ....srx98 700

does it change the timming or its always the same from 900 to 8500

the entire ignition curve is in the cdi box, yes it changes from 900-8500rpm

Can you use the CDI unit from an newer SRX (with the 3D-ignition) in a 98-99? Or is it different wiringharness? Or maybe some more boxes? Maybe even a different stator?
